About Dandelion
Our certified teachers provide the best of interpersonal school experiences, a prepared environment and learning for kindergarten to eighth grade, and support for learning in your homeschool. Families select their own best-fit schedule and have access to a full community calendar of events and programs.
Our educators bring over 80 years of combined experience and specialization in elementary, middle school, special education, language, mathematics, literacy, outdoor education, community, and leadership to our Schoolhouse. Because of this, we are ESA+ approved vendors offering high-quality personalized academic and social experiences. As members of the American Montessori Society, The Alliance for Self-directed Education, Kids for Peace, and our own Wake Forest Parks and Chamber, we connect with international organizations for children and with the place where we love to learn together!

Our Programs are Built For How Kids Learn
Children in our proframs work with certified Montessori educators to explore content in all subject areas for kindergarten to eighth grade learning. Our prepared environment and routines embrace the gifts of childhood – play, curiosity, wonder, and tenderness – and support children in applying them in both academic and social learning.
We serve and celebrate all!
Current homeschoolers seeking a Montessori community find that our space fosters self-determination, confidence, and skills for personal study and growth.
- Families leaving traditional school find support for their new homeschools and families, and a Schoolhouse that continues to provide their children with the “best parts” of school – caring educators, quality learning experiences with peers, autonomy, and community.
- Families with twice-exceptional, academically gifted, and neurodivergent learners find a place that, thanks to multi-age grouping, access to K-8 content, and same-age peers, offers opportunities for connection and learning.
- Families using ESA+ funds find a place with educators who have knowledge and experience to share, value their investment, and provide support to match their child’s unique needs.
- For everyone, we offer flexible part-time scheduling that allows you to choose how much time and money you invest in Dandelion Learning’s role in your homeschool.
