Enrollment Process Overview
Now enrolling ages 5-12 for 2026-27. Part-time Montessori homeschool in Wake Forest. ESA accepted. Scholarships available. Schedule a visit! We welcome members on a first-come, first-served basis and look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
- Schedule a 1:1 phone call and visit, attend an Open Schoolhouse, or register your child for a Day Camp Day with us
- Complete the schedule intention form (emailed after your visit).
- Our program coordinator will confirm your schedule with next steps and paperwork.
- Return a signed copy of the contract and pay the deposit.
- Complete the online membership form and send Dandelion a copy of your homeschool registration.
- We’ll connect you to our SeeSaw class app
- Bring completed Emergency Form and Participation agreement to your first day!
Before You Enroll
NC law requires families to register their homeschool with the NC Division of Non-Public Education before joining a part-time program like Dandelion. We are not the school — your family is the school.
NC law requires you to declare and register your homeschool when your eldest participating child is 7 and a half years old. If your child is younger than 7 and a half, you can begin participating in our program before officially registering your homeschool with NC DNPE.
When establishing your homeschool (even before officially registering) you, the primary caregiver, becomes the administrator to your school.
Staff at Dandelion Learning Collaborative are considered private tutors working alongside your homeschool.

List every document a family needs: enrollment application, child intake form (medical, dietary, learning history), proof of NC homeschool registration, immunization records (or religious exemption), and emergency contact form.

Acceptance & Onboarding
After your contract has been signed and returned and the deposit paid in full, your spot is secured!. You’ll be added as Members our SeeSaw class app (our primary source for communication, calendars, and weekly updates).
All are invited to join in Popsicle Meet and Greets before the first week to see our space, meet the teachers, and other Members.
That’s ok; most kids haven’t. Our multi-age model means children learn the classroom rhythm from peers, and our educators are trained to onboard new-to-Montessori students at any age. Typical adjustment period: 2-4 weeks.
The majority of Members in our groups do not have prior Montessori experience and have adjusted quickly to our space. Our educators also have extensive experience in homeschool, self-directed, Montessori, and conventional school environments and working with all types of kids. We know that multi-age grouping is new for many kids – we also know that it is a great equalizer and trust that all will be welcomed into both learning and playing graciously!
Current enrollment is for a fall start in August. As long as space allows, we continue to accept new families. As long as your homeschool has been established and you have read and understand our unique approach to learning, we believe you are ready to join us!
We expect families to enroll for the entire academic year, but we know that doesn’t work for everyone. Please let us know in advance so that we can adjust our plans to match your family’s needs and offer Monthly, bi-annual, and Annual payment options.
Please provide 30-days written notice of early withdrawal from any session(s).
As long as space is available for your new desired schedule, we will accommodate any requested changes.
It takes everyone time to adjust to something new. We have extensive experience working with children in their first “drop-off” setting and will make every effort to provide comfort and build confidence during transitions. If you or we have any concerns, we can schedule a meeting with the educators and parents to come up with a plan for success. If that includes an adjusted schedule, we will make any necessary changes.
